Voltaren Ophthalmic is used in the treatment of eye inflammation. Voltaren Ophthalmic is a topical OTC medication containing diclofenac, which belongs to a class of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is available in the form of a topical drops and provides pain and inflammation pain relief through the use of an IOP fall.
To use Voltaren Ophthalmic, apply the drops (10-30 minutes before direct sunlight) to the affected eye two times a day for 12 hours. If the application is not successful, you can use the other drops (12 drops for an individual) for a further 12 hours. The drops can be applied directly on the eye for relief of pain and inflammation.
Do not apply more than 4 drops in a day.
Do not use Voltaren Ophthalmic more often than prescribed.
Voltaren Ophthalmic is not for use by children or adolescents under the age of 12 years.
